CAPUT MEDUSAE AIR PLANT
Requiring just a air, light and water to survive, air plants are a genus of flowering, evergreen plants from the bromeliad family. Originating from Central and South America, they absorb moisture and nutrients through their leaves and can therefore survive without any roots. Whether suspended inside a himmeli mobile or simply placed on a bedside table or bookshelf, these magical plants bring an instant burst of exotic greenery indoors.
Since they grow so slowly, air plants require very little attention, needing minimal watering and thriving with bright, indirect light. This makes them a great choice for beginner indoor gardeners and those with a busy schedule. Generally flowering once annually, and able to self propagate, these weird and wonderful plants are suited to almost any interior.
Meaning ‘Head of Medusa’, the Caput Medusae may look a little like the Greek monster but is much more friendly in real life, with soft fuzzy leaves and blue flowers while in bloom.
Please note that air plant care is included.
